Whipped coffee is a four-ingredient coffee recipe that includes whipping instant coffee granules, water, and sugar (or sugar substitute) together until thick and caramel-colored. The coffee becomes a fluffy camel-brown topping that you pour over chilled milk in a glass, and then spoon the whipped coffee on top to make a layered coffee drink.
Here’s an easy to make-at-home recipe that’s protein packed! You don’t need a milk frother, or even brewed coffee to create this whipped coffee recipe. All you need is a handheld electric beaters, or a whisk.
3 tablespoons instant coffee
3 tablespoons hot water
3 tablespoons granulated stevia
1/2 scoop Vanilla Built By Strength Grass Fed Whey
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Ice, if desired
- Place instant coffee, water, stevia, and protein into a bowl. Whisk by hand or use a handheld beater for about 4-5 minutes, or until the mixture thickens to a consistency similar to peanut butter, and turns a caramel color.
- Pour almond milk into a glass and add ice, if desired.
- Spoon the whipped coffee on top of the almond milk, taking the back of the spoon and swirling the whipped coffee at the top of the glass to ensure an even texture. Enjoy!
